Haslemere
A number of Opera South events are at venues in and around Haslemere in south west Surrey very near the border of Surrey with both Hampshire and Sussex. The principal venue for fully staged operas is Haslemere Hall. There is a lot of information about the town on the Haslemere website.
Travel
Haslemere is easily accessible by road (A3, A286, A287, B2131) with ample car parking available. It is a little under 50 miles from London and 26 miles from Portsmouth.
There are fast Intercity trains which stop at Haslemere Station on the South West Train service from Waterloo to Portsmouth. The station is about 8 minutes walk from Haslemere Hall, and taxis are available (01428) 644321 / 644452 / 642189 / 642221. There are easy rail connections with both Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
