Hamish Donaldson, Festival Chairman, welcomed the packed hall and William Godfree, Musical Director, introduced the programme, which began with members of the Opera South Chorus and Lisa Swayne singing The Three Cousins' Tavern chorus from La Périchole by Jacques Offenbach.

Schools participating were Pre-prep at Haslemere Preparatory; Grayshott Primary School; St John's C of E Infant School; Highfield School Chapel Choir; The Royal Junior School and St. Ives School for Girls.

Julia Kennard was the accompanist.

The whole audience joined in the finale: Bare Necessities from Walt Disney's film of The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling.

The event was made possible by a donation from The Stile House Charitable Trust.
